This strange incident happened in Argentina in 1986 and is almost unknown to ufologists.
On the night of January 9, 1986, around 10:00 p.m., in a small farm located near the foothills of the Sierra del Pajarillo, Esperanza Gómez, her sister Sara, and her grandson Gabriel Gómez were sitting and playing cards.
Suddenly, Esperanza hears a sound like a car approaching the farm. The woman interrupts the card Game and gets up from the table. Then a strong red light begins to enter the house through the windows and doors.
The three go to the window and see an intense red light moving back and forth over the hills. A few seconds later, a “thing” that emits this red light hits a large willow tree that grows about 10 meters from the home.
Then the light disappears, and everything becomes quiet and peaceful.
The next day, Esperanza comes out of the house and notices that the willow has changed the color of its leaves from green to reddish. After a while, the leaves turn yellow just as quickly. It looks as if the wood has been doused with some kind of acid.
The next morning, Esperanza’s son, Manuel Gomez, returns from a night shift and drives to the farm. Suddenly he notices a strange black spot on the southeastern slope of Paharilo Hill. He tells his family about it, and the next day Manuel and his son Gabriel Gómez set out to inspect the unusual place.
When they arrive at the area, it looks like there has been a spontaneous fire, but when they look at the burnt grass the men immediately know something is wrong. For some reason the grass was burnt only on top and completely unscathed underneath, which is very different from a normal forest fire.
Within days, the story of the strange red light coming from the UFO and the unusual fire spread among the local population. He soon reaches Mayor Diego Ceza, who is friends with the Gomez family. He immediately assembles a research team to investigate the scene of the fire.
Esperanza Gomez tells them everything she saw during the night, including the Mysterious change of the willow.
The photo below shows Gabriel Gomez drawing a circular flying object on the wet sand he saw in the night sky.
The research team visits the fire area and inspects everything there
When articles about the incident hit the media, journalists and various scientists began to visit Esperanza’s house en masse. At that time, the willow’s leaves begin to drop, and eyewitnesses say: “It’s as if something has sped up its biological time.”
Samples were taken from the bark and leaves of the willow and from the trees growing next to it. The samples were sent to the laboratory in Buenos Aires, where they were tested. The scientists found that somehow the chlorophyll had been extracted, and this was confirmed by an attempt to wet the leaves, which proved impossible.
After they shed all the leaves on the willow, after a while the leaves sprout again, normal and green, as if nothing had happened. Dead insects, soil samples, stones and ash were collected at the fire site and near the tree, which also showed very strange results. For example, some stones have changed color, becoming much darker on their upper side.
Some amazing features were found in the insects collected at the burnt site. Their bodies look completely intact on the outside, but completely empty on the inside: as if something has sucked out all their insides.
So is the remains of a small frog found in the same burnt circle. Outwardly, she appears completely unharmed, her skin shows no signs of being exposed to high temperatures, but all her internal organs are missing, just like insects.
All this is very strange, but no logical conclusions can be drawn, except that perhaps a UFO affected them, and the whole story disappears very quickly from the pages of the newspapers.
A year and a half later, in August 1987, a large forest fire broke out in the same region, devastating all the hills of the Sierra del Pajarillo.
The only place the fire surrounds is the same area that was exposed to the impact of the UFO…
This seems to the locals like real witchcraft. A few days after the big fire, Jorge Suarez arrived at this “enchanted” place together with the journalist Fernando Gabriel to check if the grass was burning there. The vegetation, inside the circle, is easily ignited by an ordinary lighter, so the theory that a UFO made this place non-combustible fails.
In 1989, Spanish engineer Fernando Jimenez del Oso and his team arrived in the area and found that their high-precision equipment was subject to strange disturbances that interfered with its operation.
According to del Oso, the UFO probably “fixed” some unknown energy in the earth, which, like the “bell effect”, protects that earth from fire and causes disturbances.
But, everything remains a mystery…
