“My last pass I threw was to Derrick Barnes of Detroit” -Baker Mayfield

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated from the postseason when quarterback Baker Mayfield threw an interception late in the 4th quarter, caught by Derrick Barnes to send the Detroit Lions to the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers, who are now in the Super Bowl. The Bucs season, however, ended there.

Mayfield has the Pro Bowl to keep him busy for now, and it started off well. He won the Precision Passing skills challenge for the NFC on Thursday. He was asked if he felt pressure to perform well after missing a few and everyone watching him, and this is what he said:

“My last pass I threw was to Derrick Barnes of Detroit, so yeah.” He and the ESPN reporter had a good laugh at that, and it’s nice to see Mayfield has a sense of humor about the disappointing exit.
